My Life in Pictures

A lot has been happening with us lately. I'm not the best blogger when things are slow, but I'm even worse when things are busy. So what has been keeping me busy?

First, on Thursday, September 28th, I turned 26. Dave bought me some beautiful flowers and a wonderful chocolate cake to celebrate on my actual birthdate.

We drove up to Kansas to see my family the next day and I had another party with my cousin Tabitha whose birthday is 2 weeks after mine.

We got back home from Kansas at midnight on Sunday night and the next morning I started my new job. I am the communications assistant at the Methodist Church here in town. I design their bulletins and newsletters and am creating their website. I'll let you all know the web address when I'm finished. Right now it is still very much a work in progress. It is a great job. I only work 3 days a week from 9-4 so I can work, but still spend the majority of my time being Caroline's mommy. The only real down side to my job is that my desk is right by a plate glass window and is very COLD!

The rest of this month has been spent getting used to being a working mom which is a lot tougher than I thought it would be and I only work 3 days a week. Some highlights from October were a trip to the Gentry Safari to show Caroline the animals.

And October 24th marked the 3rd anniversary of my first kiss. I know that doesn't mean a lot to all of you, but 3 years ago on the 24th, Dave Ellcey asked me to be his wife and I said yes and got my very first and long awaited kiss.

In other news, I have been doing a rediculous amount of cooking and baking in my free time lately. When it gets cold outside there's nothing I like better than being in a warm kitchen making goodies and filling the house with the comforting smells of baking. However, I do NOT like doing dishes but it really feels good when they are done. This is a picture of my kitchen I took just a few minutes ago. Nice and clean. Now I can go to bed happy.

Hi dear friend! You are so beautiful. I like the picture of you and Dave. I love knowing people exist who waited for their first kiss until they were engaged. You are wonderful.

Ack! I'm such a bad friend! I TOTALLY meant to call you on your birthday! And then, it came and went and I've been thinking about you (and how bad I am) ever since.

Of course, you didn't call me on my birthday, so I guess we're even, huh? :-)

Anyway....wow. So much has been happening, I guess. You're working now! Crazy! How'd that come about? How's it going? Where does Caroline go during that time? I guess we're due for another phone conversation, aren't we?

I miss you and I love you lots.

Keep in touch! (And post more pics of Caroline!) :-)

Thank you for blogging, too! I love that you remember the date of your first kiss. I remember mine, too. (april 15th) Marriage is fun times. The first 1/2 year has been really good. Some parts are hard, but most is just really good. I'll tell you more in a more personal way. Maybe a letter, imagine that!

Happy thanksgiving friend!

It is so beautiful to read about your anniversary of your first kiss, which is such a precious gift that isn't held as a prized possession by many. Way to hold out, my friend. :)
Love you and miss you.
